Now that I'm all caught up on blogs, we thought we'd officially announce that we are expecting another bundle of joy this New Year's Eve! This time around, she's a girl!
This pregnancy has seemed like the fastest pregnancy of all time. Between taking care of Mr. Personality (Gavin) and teaching 6th graders, Beth has barely had time to breathe for the past 13 weeks... much less think about her second or third trimesters. Miss Molly has been pretty easy so far (not counting the tiredness and usual aches and pains). The main difference is that she has been MUCH more active than Gavin ever was. I felt her kick from Week 16 (with Gavin it was 19) and Geoff could feel her at week 19 (with Gavin it was 22). The ultrasound techs have commented on her long legs a few times, too. So we'll see -- it seems like she may be a rambunctious, long-legged spitfire. Then again... I really don't know where she'd get long legs from!
We are SO EXCITED to be adding to our wonderful little family in just 9 short weeks. It's been overwhelming to think about at times, but at this point we are just beyond excited to welcome this little girl into the world!
Baby Lew 2 at 12 weeks
It's a GIRL! We found out the gender at 20 weeks. She is quite the lady - she wouldn't show her parts until minute 31 of a 30-minute ultrasound. PHEW, we still got to find out! Thank gosh our tech was uber patient.
The doctor wanted to see her heart again because she wasn't cooperating at 20 weeks, so we got a nice extra ultrasound at 28 weeks. She is adorable, and looks a lot like Gavin from what we can tell. She has the same button nose and big cheeks :) We are in love already.
And we've decided.... her name will be Molly Elizabeth.
Over Fall Break I worked hard to get her nursery ready to go.
Lots of lavender and some bright sunshine yellow make it a peaceful and fun place :)
