Uncle Max Comes to Visit!

Maxwell Dean came into town for the Tool concert and stayed with us for a 5-day bonding session with Gavin, or the "Jeep Man" as Max calls him. Max and the Jeep Man were pretty big fans of each other, and even Lucy was sad to see him go. We can't wait for him to visit again!

We Bought a Zoo! No, Total Lie. But We Did Get a Membership!

We bought a membership to the Phoenix Zoo, and took Gavin for the first time a couple of weeks ago. He LOVED it! He was so into the animals, especially the monkeys, rhino and flamingos. We're pretty sure he's going to be a zoologist or veterinarian of some sort, because he pays a lot more attention to animals than he does to people.

We got him a hat to shield his pasty skin... Beth wanted a rhino hat with a horn, but got outvoted to something sliiiiightly less dorky.

The spider monkey exhibit was incredible! No cages or glass or anything! We were very fortunate, we didn't get pooped on OR peed on.

Parkin' It

We all had a day off around New Year's and decided to take Gavin over to the park. He got to go on his first slide, had a blast on the swings and chilled with Gamma and Gandy watching the dogs act like crazy kids with the frisbee. He LOVES being outside, and we're trying to get him all the fun outside time he can get before it's 120 flippin' degrees out.

New Year's Eve

We had a very fun NYE, filled with lots of family and friends. Megan and Deblet were in town, and it was WONDERFUL seeing them! Gavin loves them both lots, but hopes that someday Megan will touch him. He promises not to puke or drool on her! The Warshaws and Hamatis made an appearance, and Gabe, Thomas, Jess, Peggy, Bob, Gigi, Joan and Warren were all there at midnight to celebrate the start of another amazing year. We stayed up wayyyy too late and the boys got up wayyyy too early, but all in all it was fabulous!

This year will bring Gavin's 1st birthday, Geoff & Beth's 30th birthdays (blekhhhhh), visits to Cabo San Lucas, South Bend, Washington DC, and even Cleveland. We couldn't be any more excited to watch our little nugget continue to grow in 2012 :)
