Almost Week 24.... :)

A mid-week post, you're shocked I know! This is mainly because Sarah called me out! :) We've been remiss... so, without further adieu, a few updates from the Loony Lewii!

Pregnancy is good right now, but the days are getting longer and work is already getting harder! I thought that the second trimester would be the easy part, and for the most part it was.... until this week. Now by the end of the school day I'm ready to collapse (and strangle a few kids), and my motivation for awesome lesson planning is being tested daily. I'm still LOVING teaching, but the day-to-day grind while gestating is a bit much some days! I'm ready for SPRING BREAK, what can I say!?!?

In other news, we are starting to get the nursery ready :) Geoff spent hours and hours and hours painting last weekend, and managed to get the entire nursery painted. It looks AWESOME! The pictures don't even do it justice. Once the wallpaper border goes up and the carpet gets laid down, we'll be in business! I got the crib in the mail last night... and will likely be calling on Allison (queen of furniture-putting-together) this weekend to help me with it!

Lucy Post-Bath... NOT PLEASED!

Two weeks ago we lost our dear Grandpa Warren. The loss of this incredible man was felt keenly by both of us, and everyone else who cherished his every word, laugh and move. But, we had a beautiful weekend in LA surrounded by amazing family and friends. We had a fitting and beautiful memorial for Grandpa. Geoff delivered an UNBELIEVABLY awesome speech that paid perfect tribute. We were all so proud, and he certainly earned a giant "gold star" on the forehead. The party afterwards was a wonderful celebration of a wonderful life. We will all be learning to live without him slowly, and he will be missed every day. But Gavin was kicking like crazy the entire weekend, and already knows he has some major shoes to fill as a namesake!
